I’ve loved this song since high school, and it became my all time favorite since then.
The lyrics and the melody captured me, it did describe my innocence and my naivety about love and men. I fall hard, and I’m just as gullible as you think. I’ve gone through hurt and sorrow, cheating and lying, or worse; and somehow I’ve grown adept on how to play the game. Or that’s what I hoped.

Love is a cycle.
i remember back in the days when i lived my life like there was no tomorrow, loved passionately like i was never hurt before, and the times when I’ve given the special people all the trust and the love that i could offer.
I remember my innocence as a teenager when a simple smile from a crush could brighten up your world and a little “hello” could get you soar up high. And when he says “Would you be my girlfriend?”, nothing could stop you and no other time is right to say the sweet “yes”. The three words “I love you” could send gazillion butterflies in your stomach and you’re just ready to make him a part of your life and not even knowing the grave consequences.
And there you are, loving the special person with all your might and thinking he might be the one, only to find out you weren’t that special to him as you thought you would be.
And your world begins to collapse, your heart begins to break. And you know things just aren’t the same anymore. Broken trust and broken dreams. Everything just seems to be broken. You begin to build large walls around you, strengthening up your defenses as you try to pick up the torn fragments of your being.
You thought you’d never love again.
Then another one comes along. Way too different from the last one, but somehow still managed to brighten up your world once again.
And there you go back to Square One.
